Q: I want to get a monogrammed dress shirt for my boyfriend, where should the letters go?
A: Typically the monogram is applied to the cuff, the upper left chest (like a Polo logo); and for the guy who enjoys having his dress shirts personalized but doesn’t like visible embroidery, it can sewn to the front side at the very bottom.

The left cuff (the wrist upon which the watch is worn) or the left chest pocket.
–Thanks for that Lee. Most young professionals are now favoring their dress shirts without a front pocket and using their cellphones in lieu of a wearing a timepiece.
